The ASEAN Plus Three Cooperation held again the annual program, 18 th AUN and 7 th ASEAN+3
Educational Forum & Young Speakers Contest in 2018. This event is annual activity that is held by
several universities that are consisted of reputable universities in ASEAN plus three universities in Asia.
On this opportunity, Universitas Indonesia as one of inter-universities cooperation member of
ASEAN+3 became the host of this annual event. The series of event was held in 5 days, on May 1 st to 5 th
2018. The event was consisted of the delegation student speech from each universities and also
international education forum.
The theme that is brought up for this year was “The Relevance of Higher Education in the Digital Era”.
Each participant discussed the relevance of higher education toward the recent digital era, especially on
higher education system in ASEAN countries that is incorporated in The ASEAN University Network
(AUN).
The delegation student in speech contest delivered idea related to the theme. The growth of recent
technology advances are able to remove limit in the development of educational system and potential to
improve the quality of learners.
For your information, The ASEAN University Network (AUN) is a collaboration association between
universities in ASEAN that has been established since 1995 by universities representatives of ASEAN
country members and Universitas Indonesia becomes one of university that represent Indonesia.
The ASEAN University Network (AUN) incoporated with spirit of developing higher education system
in order to expand cooperation between universities in ASEAN countries. AUN has secretariat that is
located at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.
