Universitas Indonesia Vocational Study Program officially opened Vocation Wellness Center (VWC) which is the health service center that focuses on physiotherapy and occupational therapy. This service is aimed for members of Universitas Indonesia, as well as the community. The health service that is given by the Vocation Wellness Center (VWC) includes speaking therapy, acupuncture, integration sensor, baby message, snoezelen/ relaxation therapy, as well as other therapy services.

Vocation Wellness Center is open to meet the community need and as the result of encouragement from many parties especially during the pandemic situation. Vocation Wellness Center is doing collaboration with Rumah Cerebral Palsy Community, a community of parents with children suffering from cerebral palsy. This is done as one of a real contribution form from Universitas Indonesia Vocational Program, which is to give free therapy service to patients from the community. In one day, Vocation Wellness Center accepted 4 to 5 patients from Rumah Cerebral Palsy.

Vocation Study Program Director, Padang Wicaksono, S.E., Ph.D., gives his full support on the run of Vocation Wellness Center. “I hope that this health service that is given continues to improve and increase, so that Vocation Wellness Center can give benefits to the community.” Padang said.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the health service is carried out with the implementation of strict health protocol. For patients who want to get the service, they can register at the link bit.ly/DaftarKonsulVWC. After that they will be contacted for confirming the consultation and assessment schedule. Patients will also be treated by the professional according to their needs.

The head of Vocation Wellness Center, Aditya Denny Pratama, SST.FT, M.Fis., explain some symptoms that are frequently experienced by the patients during the pandemic, like nervous disorders, bone disorders, muscle disorders, and others, which can happen to anyone. “Health services from Vocation Wellness Center, are not limited only to adult patients, but also to pediatric patients, for example, complaints such as pre-school readiness, child development disorders, communication and social interaction of children, and other complaints,” said Denny.

Services at Vocation Wellness Center are provided by professionals in their respective fields, namely from lecturers in the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy study program at the Universitas Indonesia Vocational Education Program. In addition to being a place for health services in the field of therapy, Vocation Wellness Center is also a place of learning for students of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, Vocational Universitas Indonesia.

The Vocation Wellness Center is located in Room 104, 1st Floor, Building C, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia, UI Depok Campus. The schedule for health services operates every Monday to Friday. Friday 09.00-15.00 WIB.
