Course Description
After completing the Library Science Master Programme, students are expected:
- to develop concepts and knowledge of the role of information in society related to research, development, planning, decision-making, problem solving, empowerment, and learning;
- to master the management and utilisation of sources of information present amidst society, including textual or documentary,audio-visual, machine-readable, and human-processed forms of information;
- to master various methods of analysis, organisation, and the presentation of data, taking into consideration various types of information services and target audiences;
- to master modern management techniques, including the planning, design, and development of precise and efficient information systems and services, applicable to institutes that rely on information and accepted by the government and public at large; and
- to possess expertise in the gathering, maintenance, organisation, and boradcasting of recorded information and that of applying presently available technology and those of the future in the operation of information systems and services
Admission to the Programme is obtained through SIMAK UI, a written examination.
Tuition Fee
UI Rector Ordinance No. 4 2021
The fees consist of operational tution fees (BOP) amounting to Rp8.000.000,00,
and a Development Fee (DP) to be paid only once on admission, amounting to Rp8.000.000,00.
