On Tuesday, February 21st 2017, Universitas Indonesia (UI) held collaborative workshop with Ajou University (Korea) that was held at Mochtar Riady Plaza Quantum, Faculty of Engineering UI.
The workshop that was titled “Emerging Research on Electrical & Computer Engineering for Suistanable Future” met professor and student of the two universities.
The professors of two universities were scheduled to present their research outcomes in electrical engineering.
There were 8 professors of Ajou University who became the speaker of this event, among of them were Prof. We-Duke Cho (Ubiquitous Computing), and Prof. Dongkyoung Chwa (Control and Robotics).
Meanwhile, UI were represented by 10 professors who are experts in their field, such as Prof. Dr.Ir. Riri Fitri Sari (Internet of Things), and Dr. Basari S.T., MSc. (Medical Imaging and Body Centric).
Not only invited the speakers, this event was also invited students of both countries as participants so that there will be cultural exchange between the two countries.
Dr. Ir. M. Asvial, M. Eng, (Vice Dean of UI Faculty of Engineering) said that this workshop was a continuation of Rector of Ajou University visit to UI on last November 2016.
“This is also an effort of UI to reach World Class University target that was targeted for UI by our government,” added him.
The other purpose of this event was to open cooperation possibility between the two universities in research development.
“The other target was for opening double degree program and student and staff mobility between these two universities, UI and Ajou University,” said him.
