Committee I of the Council of Professors (DGB) of the Universitas Indonesia (UI) for the Development of Academic Life and Moral Integrity will hold a Webinar entitled “Ethics: The Foundation for Building Quality 2024 Elections”, this morning (Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 09.00-11.30. This webinar aims to prepare for an ethical and quality 2024 election.
Committee I DGB UI realizes that the 2024 Election is not only procedural, but Political Engineering to bring up leaders with integrity and quality for a better future for Indonesia. Committee I of DGB UI also realizes that the 2024 Election is a complex matter because the election of the President and Vice President, Legislative Elections, and Regional Head Elections occur simultaneously in the same year.
The 2024 elections face various challenges, ranging from money politics, vote buying, vote trading, ASN neutrality, the emergence of political dynasties and dynastic politics, the quality and quantity of voters, to technical obstacles in organizing the 2024 elections. These challenges mean that elections must continue to improve their ethical quality and integrity.
This webinar will present speakers from Professor Counsil UI, Genera; Elections Commision Republic of Indonesia (RI), and The General Election Supervisory Agency of RI. Prof. Harkristuti Harkrisnowo, S.H., M.A, Ph.D. as Chair of the UI Professorship Board and Prof. Dr. Ir. Riri Fitri Sari, M.Sc., M.M. as the Coordinator of Committee 1 Professor Counsil UI will give a speech in this webinar.
