The Insurance and Actuarial Administration Study Program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia held a series of public lecture webinars entitled “Get to Know More About Study Program of Insurance and Actuary Administration” which had a theme about the introduction of insurance and financial literacy.
This series of public lecture webinars was held from October to December 2021, totaling nine webinars. This webinar series activity is also a form of commemoration of Indonesian Insurance Day on October 18, as well as the Financial Inclusion Month (BIK) which falls in October 2021. The Speaker who attend each webinar are various practitioners in the fields of finance, insurance and actuarial.
Head of the Insurance and Actuarial Administration Study Program, Drs. Asrori, M.A., FLMI, said that this series of webinars was held as a forum for students and the general public to gain insight and knowledge about finance, insurance, and actuarial. “We held this webinar series to find out how the industry needs human resources who are able to face such intense changes in the insurance industry, pension funds, finance, and others related,” Asrori explained.
By presenting various practitioners from their respective fields, the Insurance and Actuarial Administration Study Program tries to bridge and facilitate this so that graduates are ready to face the world of work in order to know firsthand the real world of work conditions.
Director of UI Vocational Education Program, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sigit Pranowo Hadiwardoyo, DEA said, “Through public lectures that are packaged in the form of a series of webinars and present practitioners from various industries, I hope that students will better understand how vocational education and competency certification are needed in the industrial world, one of which is in the financial, insurance and actuarial sectors.”
